The original drawings that we have on the wall in the Bar shows a 6 hole practice course that was designed when our original front nine was being built in 1925. The Club was founded in 1925 but the front nine was not open for play until the summer of 1926.We found a newspaper article stating that members were playing the practice course until the front nine was completed. In researching this original drawing from 1925 we have been able To show where these original practice holes were located. This picture shows the layout of these practice holes in relation to where our back nine currently sets. Mr. JohnGriffin, who has been a golf historian who studies all of William Lankford’s golf course designs and visited us this past winter did the research to come up with this Information. William Lankford was the architect of our back nine .
